#OccupyChristmas Santa ~ Liberty Park NYC Black Friday 2011

Advertise | AdChoices

Black Friday was yesterday. My enduring mental snapshot will be the woman shopper using pepper sparay to secure her items.

Happily pepper spray is now a vegetable, that makes a full integration of our foodish #gmo weapons grade oil supplies with both stocked for the well armed consumer at the store with all the made in China %$#@. Free Market My Aunt Fanny!

Amazing we let one in five children go to sleep hungry every night, but Wall Street can find the power to message a near riot conditions in support of the very symbols of our economic ruin.

Ho ho ho, merry shop, shop, shoping; in the ecomaginary realms of public perception the Madison Avenue crowd has it down pat.

What numbers of police are preassigned to the potentially explosive crowds eating from Wall Street's greediest hands versus the ratio  for those not feeding Wall Street.l con

An ounce of facade is worth a pound of substance; if you buy the lie the package can be as empty as the renewal appetite dictates, the transaction is done.

Barricades must be where insider money is going this holiday season, be fitting if they were made by buck a day convict labor being billed 5 bucks a minute for phone calls.

For Mayor Bloomberg's claim of returning Liberty Park to greater public enjoyment, pshaw!

How's this view from the Penthouse floors? Do the Mahogany Row Boys at Silverstein, Brown Brothers Harriman , AT&T et al, feel less grinch in  their souls with police tape outlining a reserved seating area and holiday spirit decor?

Gotta thank Mayor B for one thing, there's no question how far Wall Street's love of free ideas and public space goes, back off and open your wallet.

But we are silent no more, go us!

Retired Captain Ray Lewis the First Uniformed Police Officer to Stand with Occupy Wall Street

In case you don't have a mental picture of the public use until the NYPD raid and Liberty Camp destruction, here's the same location 11-11-11.

Time stamp preservation note regarding the disappearance and partial restoration of a five year old comment threads in the column Hunting the Enemy Me!.

It asks the same unanswered questions of Monsanto and MSM as I do five years of toxic policy later.

Why is there no MSM discussion of gmo food? Quarterly OpEd by Biotech Brigade favorites Nina Federoff, Henry Miller, Greg Conko, Tribe and Prakish are old, yawn, they were old in 2006!!

Where are the human health and safety studies for each event in the food supply?

What is the mechanism for post market followup?

Not a huge list of reasonable questions. Not for a trillion dollar privitizing scheme and Nationwide feeding experiment, because all I can find still is Monsanto's best bet it genetically engineered as substantial equivalent fits the loophole and that is the measure of Justice for Corporate Government, isn't it?

Biotechnology Consultation Memorandum of Conference BNF No. 000001

September 19, 1994

Subject: Glyphosate-tolerant soybeans.

Keywords: Soybean; glyphosate (herbicide) tolerance; EPSPS from Agrobacterium sp. strain CP4 (CP4 EPSPS).

This meeting was intended to bring Monsanto's consultation with FDA on the food and feed safety of this product to closure. Monsanto had previously met with the agency on this subject (see memorandum of June 24, 1993 meeting in Subject File 1319 (SBJ 1319)).

Intended Effect and Food/Feed Use

The intended effect of this genetic modification is to render soybean (Glycine max) plants tolerant to commercially relevant levels of the non-selective herbicide glyphosate.

Soybeans or processed products derived from soybeans are used for both human and animal food, with the large majority being used in animal feed.

Mechanism of Intended Effect

Wholesomeness Studies

Monsanto described the results of wholesomeness studies they carried out in rats, chickens, catfish, dairy cattle, and bobwhite quail. On the basis of their consideration of the totality of these studies, Monsanto has concluded that there is no significant difference in the wholesomeness of glyphosate-tolerant and traditional soybean varieties, as expected from their compositional analysis. These data are summarized on page 49 of Monsanto's September 2 submission.

Conclusions

Monsanto has concluded, in essence, that the glyphosate-tolerant soybean variety they have developed is not significantly altered within the meaning of 21 CFR 170.30(f)(2) when compared to soybean varieties with a history of safe use. At this time, based on Monsanto's description of its data and analysis, the agency considers Monsanto's consultation on this product to be complete.

Since this seems to be rolling in diary mode let me add for posterity, the pepper spray was topped by police attack on WalMart shoppers and the off duty cop trying to stop it, being arrested himself.
